From the students of San Mateo High School

The "Coral" Art Show featured works from the Art Certificate Program, an extracurricular community of teens with a special interest for art. The "Reconnect" art show explored the deep and intrinsic connection between humanity and nature. Through a diverse range of works, artists delved into the ways we are intertwined with the natural world, inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationship with the environment. "Living Art" Installation 
Baywood, CA

Our first "living art" installation, created by board members John Sutti and Jim Murphy, transformed an unkept local area into a vibrant community space. With the aid of the Baywood Neighbors Association, the installation was successfully placed within a traffic island, where the Zoetic Tapestry Project cleaned, gardened, and adorned the space with newly planted flowers

Honey Bee Art Show 

The "Honey Bee" art show, featuring local high school students, was a compelling exploration of the role honeybees play in our ecosystem. Through their creative works, the students highlighted the importance of preserving these insects and their delicate environment. This exhibition served as an engaging reminder of the need to protect and sustain the honeybee population

The "Flora and Fauna" art show, from College of San Mateo's Digital Media students, aimed to capture the beauty and diversity of the natural world. For many students, this exhibition was the first time exploring the realm of digital art. The show not only highlighted their unique, newfound talents, but also marked a significant step in their development as artists

From local Bay Area artists

Our "Metamorphosis" art show, featuring local Bay Area artists, was dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of the monarch butterfly and its populations. The exhibition highlighted the beauty and fragility of these iconic insects and their role in our ecosystem, drawing attention to the urgent need for conservation efforts to protect the monarch and its habitat
